It's a feedback mechanism for the deep state. You hit the 'like' button for something, they need to know your personal info to know how to interpret that and see what memes work on what kind of people. Then you use that information to get someone like Obama elected.
The paranoia also comes from being able to "see" the manipulation of the powers that be. Watch The Cabin in the Woods, etc. It's always the pothead who figures out what happening first. Kids who've been trafficked said their handlers would offer them any drug they wanted except pot because pot enhances intuition and in the upside down world we live in enhanced intuition looks just like paranoia.
