The purpose of @snowden was to create a honeypot to our the remaining good guys. They wanted to replace JA with Snowden and eliminate the NSA in the process. Then every time someone tried to whistle blow they would capture it and eliminate the good guy off the grid. With all of the facial recognition, voice recognition, gps tracking etc. they would have complete control and would be able to eliminate a good guy trying to get away. Do you really believe they couldn’t capture @Snowden?
