Is Measles a vaccination problem, or an immigration problem?

Measles is often brought into the United States by unvaccinated people who become infected in other countries, says the CDC. These international travelers then spread measles upon their return, which cause outbreaks in the USA.

2016 Outbreak was traced back to newly vaccinated individuals in the U.S.

2017 Stats:

In 2017, a 75 case outbreak occurred, affecting mainly Somalian Americans living in Minnesota.

A total of 122 cases of measles were reported in 2017. (No deaths reported).
