Since the Reunion of Germany SK is not really fond of a reunification with NK. They monitored the process in Germany and concluded that it would cost them enormous amounts of money to modernise NK. Also they do fear the cultural differences between the people of both Koreas. Even the Germans have to cope with their cultural differences that evolved over 50 years under opposite systems.

Yes, nobody said this. But wise people are aware of this and are not very fond of this.

You cannot change societies over several decades and then just tell the Koreans that they now have to change back.

It might be a longer process than 1989 in Germany.

I'm pretty sure the Koreans will find a way to solve this. The most important thing is that NK is no longer hostage to bad actors and therefore cannot longer be used to scare the world.

It would be better for the relations between China, Russia, Japan and the US and naturally better for NK itself.
