'''I posted a transcript of yesterday's Praying Medic YT session in the last bread. That bread has a title that should focus our attention on the idea that no one can DIVIDE us based on arbitrary differences. I consider one of those differences to be PLATFORM. Months ago, another anon once suggestions we add PLATFORM to the list of things that should not divide us.

I wanted very much to have a civil discussion about what it really means to "be careful who you follow." It is a topic worth discussing. PM's discussion would be a good jumping off place.

It was devastating to see that this was not possible. Two times I posted on this and two times got responses that were long on ridicule and short on logic. I'd love to think it's just shills. Because if we cannot talk about our ideas in a respectful and intelligent way, how can we create a world in which logic, reason, and genuine reflection govern our thoughts and future policies?

It is very hard to go against the will of the larger group. It requires educating people to truly think for themselves–and to see their primary loyalty as to something higher than just the will of those around them. I profoundly wish that this will be possible in the future, anon, so that no one ever has to suffer in silence again.
