Q, explain why Huber didn't interview Ohr?

Mr. Ratcliffe. Well, I want to make – part of the reason

I'm also trying to make this record real clear is there's someone

that's been appointed to look at potential FISA abuse, United

States Attorney John Huber. Have you talked to Mr. Huber?

Mr. Ohr. I have not. I mean, I have spoken with Mr. Huber

in the past when he was a U.S. attorney, but I have not spoken

with him as part of this.

Mr. Meadows. One little cleanup.

My high level summary given the recent happenings:

  • Horowitz/Huber released three reports:

  • A Review of Various Actions by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Department of Justice in Advance of the 2016 Election

  • A Report of Investigation of Certain Allegations Relating to Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe

  • Report of Investigation: Recovery of Text Messages From Certain FBI Mobile Devices

We don't know exactly what's being investigated and these reports ultimately don't lead to referrals for anything major. Huber looks likes a dud.

  • March 2018 Horowitz informs us that he's looking into FISA abuse.

  • August 2018 Ohr testifies in closed session

  • Nov 2018 DOJ respond to American Oversight lawsuit informing them that Huber was given instructions orally and there were no written directives. (the public didn't learn of this until March 2019)

  • Dec 2018 We were told that Huber hasn't interviewed Ohr (and confirmed by Ohr's recently released testimony transcript). Is Huber taking these investigations seriously ? At this point we assume we got bamboozled by Sessions given that the reports were duds and Ohr wasn't interviewed.

  • March 2019 We discover that Sessions actually gave written direction to Huber to look into the topics specified by Congress, which includes FISA.

We (including the "deep state") had assumed that nothing was happening because the reports were ultimately duds, Ohr wasn't interviewed by Huber, and no written directive was given to Huber (this last point only people familiar with the American Oversight FOIA related lawsuit knew about. They also knew before the public that the DOJ lied to them about Huber having written directives). We now know that Huber actually did get a written directive from Sessions.

What if the only investigation that actually matters is FISA? Huber has all of January and February to interview Ohr. What if Horowitz and Huber doing nothing & Trump hating Sessions was a ruse ?

But you already knew that ;)
