Information Poisoning is found throughout nature. Organisms exploit perceptual biases to evade predators or to attract prey; some species, like ours, practice deception on many levels.
The Paussid or “ant’s nest” beetle forges chemical signals which blinds the ants, its prey, to the beetle’s presence among them. The Paussid beetle eats the ant’s children and lays its eggs in worker's bodies which it paralyses an injected toxin it also manufactures.
Ants and termites have a king of group mind which coordinate the activities of the different classes, workers, soldiers, foragers, the presence of a live queen is essential to function of organizing consciousness - as it the peculiar chamber constructed to accommodate her termite majesty. If the queen is killed or removed the super organism dies, though the individual ants do not, they abandon the nest and most will die.
The termite community possesses remarkable intelligence when the group mind is active - no one knows quite how that works but the closest observer Eugene Marais established it does in "The Soul of the White Ant." "White Ant" is what South Africans call the termite.

Predators exploit perceptual deficiencies of prey, or of host civilizations, they are parasitic on. Predators can be of the same species, or as with the Paussid beetles, they may create the appearance of being so.
Ant communities preyed on by Paussid are not know to have detected the Paussids activities, though it is interesting to speculated if the Paussid were stressed and became neglectful of the primary necessity of deceiving the ants and fail to synthesize the signals to conceal its appearance. It would then become visible to the ants who would immediately destroy it.
What signals would a predator on humans need to synthesize to control human society through senses? To keep us blindly going about our business?
