8k could be ~10 years flying in US regulations. Not sure with Africa standards. Experienced, but not "very". In a crisis situation, having your copilot with 200 hours is a problem. Basically no experience lend and share the workload of flying a failing aircraft.

 

The airline will blame Boeing given the Lion air event. Boeing is going to blame the crew and I will bet focus on the copilot.
