Yes. All governments are corrupt in reality. Some more than others. What is happening now in the world is troubling. A new, more dangerous age of authoritarianism is upon us. These people are typical of what happens when a democracy fails to provide for its people or live up to expectations and the greedy start looting the decaying state and inequality becomes extreme. The people desire and cling to a strong leader that comes to them with big promises and who tells them that he'll give them the Sun the moon and the stars.
