Anon asked a question about what role Trey Gowdy might be walking into (discussed Q drop 537), and speculated that it would be to head the White Collar Defense and Gov't Investigation team.
Here's my lawfag reply:
It's POSSIBLE that Gowdy could be heading up a Federal White Collar PROSECUTION team (not Defense, certainly). He's a licensed South Carolina attorney and has worked as a Federal prosecutor, as well as a State Solicitor.
Gowdy's past committee appointments as a US Rep make him uniquely qualified to handle intelligence, government investigations and government-related crimes.
However, it's also VERY possible that he would be involved at the state level. Here's why - Gowdy is licensed in South Carolina, which is home to the bank known as "Morgan Guaranty Trust." MGT is now known as Chase Bank (wiki "House of Morgan" for some historical sauce).
MGT/Chase is tied to the Bank of England, historically, and has ties to South Carolina through the Payseurs. And MGT financed a lot of wars including WW1 bonds, as well as payment from the Saudis for US expenses during Desert Shield. For the Desert Shield sauce, it's specifically mentioned in Norman Schwarzkopf's book "It Doesn't Take A Hero".
So, Gowdy could pursue State matters in South Carolina as well. However, it seems like his new role is to be a Fox News analyst, and that may be the most important job he has for this phase of the operation.
