You could try sourcing a homeschooling co-op and bartering. That's what I did. I bartered for tuition at homeschooling co-op at our church and with another parent for after-school care.

For my extremely active son we found an amazing private school with lots of mandatory sports activity and applied for a scholarship.

Yep. Also helps if you can make your homeschooling coop the center of your community of resilience. If you haven't started to do that yet (build a community of resilience) it's never too late. A journey starts with the courage to take the first step forward.

It wasn't meant as a slam. I found myself unexpectedly a single parent with 3 under 5 so I get it.

I meant most people aren't comfortable reaching out and asking for help and/or trying to build a sense of community and rejection when they first attempt to do so is hard for many.

>also schools, homeschooling is ideal but until they get economy right and just. homeschooling is not an option for most.

Expand your thinking.

Put the children first.

Connect with allies, crowdsource, get creative.

There is no "one" solution that fits all, but you might surprise yourself with what you can figure out for your situation.

We did and we've never regretted it.
