the thing is people lie, get confused, and can easily be misled, hypnotized, conditioned, etc. Minds are fickle. People have motives.
When you go to the doctor for something that is not thought related its easy. For example. your kidneys do not have motives and they don't lie. If there is an infection there are tests to prove it.
There are NO TESTS to prove any mental illness. You can literally make any of it up if you wanted to. Or, you can have a bad week and get diagnosed with depression and put on an SSRI just because you went to the shrink sobbing and feeling hopeless.
