It's ironic, and a bit sad, for me to realize now that the homegrown stuff like homeschooling, natural medicine, Bible reading, rural communities, and growing your own food is actually the big part of the solution to most of our country's problems.

Sad because when I was young I considered it all old-fashioned crap that should have died out decades ago because it was keeping America from reaching its potential.

How dumbed-down and poisoned I must have been to feel so hateful towards the simple answers in life.

I'm starting to realize that (((they))) probably want the dullest and least inspired people to become public school teachers. Which is why they keep the pay so terribly low, and clamp down on the few people who really try to be a great teacher despite everything wrong with the system.
