The security service has expressed its "deep regret" that allegations of possible child sex abuse by a Tory MP was not passed to police.
A member of MI5, giving evidence anonymously at the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA), said the report on the late Chester MP Peter Morrison was looked at from a "narrow security-related view".
