That sucks, but a VPN won't protect your accounts from being hacked, it'll only protect your local connect to the web (ie, on public networks). Proper passwords and 2FA using Google authenticator where available are way better ways to protect yourself. Also don't use the same password everywhere. Avoid using 2Fa that requires a phone number, these can be spoofed to alternate phone numbers and used to hack your accounts.
