Not sure if important, but "unicorns" have been used to "disprove" the bible for at least a century. The bible speaks of "Unicorns", and how you would not be able to hitch them to your plow and have them plow your field. Therefore, the bible must be full of myths and fables and thus unreliable.
Except that the word "unicorn" used to mean "Asian Rhino", a beast that you could not use to plow your field, that had 1 horn. Rhinocerous Unicornus. That term existed for thousands of years before the mythical "magical horse with horn on head = unicorn" was fabricated from whole cloth.
