This 'Fox News is our friend' bs is annoying. It's called "controlled opposition". They co-opted what they still call "Breitbart" for the same purposes:
1) Give certain constituencies the notion that there's a MSM outlet 'on their side', and
2) Distract the antiestablishment groupings from pursuing meaningful change
One is owned by Murdoch, the other by Mercer (read: Simons), and both are establishment proxies controlling the flow and shape of 'news'.
We didn't see Fox (or anyone) out 44 for allowing (SIS/)CIA to coordinate arms trafficking by Gulf states from Benghazi to build out ISIS and foment a war in Syria. Why not?
It's because they're an appendage of the system controlled by elites.
That they participate in this years-long distraction from reality should be no surprise. That's what controlled opposition does. It's not new, and neither is the public's penchant for uncritically consuming it.
