Rep. Chip Roy Introduces Bill to Declare Specific Mexican Cartels as Foreign Terrorist Orgs

Two congressmen filed a bill in the House to direct the U.S. State Department to designate specific Mexican cartel factions as Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs). The bill follows a letter from lawmakers to Secretary Mike Pompeo calling for the designations. President Donald Trump said he is considering the matter in an Oval Office interview on Monday.

“Cartels are the problem and it is time we started acting like it,” Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) said in a written statement. “My colleague Rep. Mark Green (R-TN) and I are asking Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to conduct a review in order to designate these specific Mexican drug cartels Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs).”

The bill from the Republican representatives calls for the designation of the following cartel factions as FTOs:

The Reynosa/Los Metros faction of the Gulf Cartel

The Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG)

The Cartel Del Noreste (CDN) faction of Los Zetas

Roy said that he and Rep. Green chose these specific factions “because of their particularly violent actions and intentional strategies to affect the political system. These cartels push for an anarchic form of government which allows them to skirt laws and push their terrorist model without any legal ramifications.”

Rep. Green added, “Americans know that it is time to get tough and secure our southern border through physical barriers and better enforcement. The president is using the money Congress sent him to begin building a wall, and now we must follow up with this new designation that will empower our law enforcement agents to fight the cartels.”

During an Oval Office interview with Breitbart News, President Trump responded to a question regarding the designation of these cartels as FTOs. He said his administration is thinking “very seriously” about making the designation.

“We are. We are,” Trump responded. “We’re thinking about doing it very seriously. In fact, we’ve been thinking about it for a long time.”

“It’s psychological, but it’s also economic,” he said. “As terrorists — as terrorist organizations, the answer is yes. They are.”

“Mexico, unfortunately, has lost control of the cartels,” the president explained. “They’ve totally lost control of the cartels. Mexico last year had 42,000 deaths — murders — 42,000. It’s considered one of the most unsafe countries in the world.”

Breitbart News’ Cartel Chronicles has been on the front line reporting the gruesome crimes carried out by these groups.

Border journalist Robert Arce noted on March 10 about the ambush-style murder of three Mexican state police officers in Chihuahua (immediately south of El Paso, Texas).

Not satire: Social Democrats want to integrate ISIS fighters with the help of radical mosques

The German Interior Senator Andreas Geisel of the SPD is currently checking if returning ISIS fighters can be integrated with the use of radical mosques in Berlin.

Geisel proposed his plan at the 22 police convention to a newspaper. In the interview he mentioned wanting to use “Legalists”.

“Legalists” according to German security agencies are radical Muslims, who want to reach their goals without the use of violence. The Muslim Brotherhood and the Turkish Milli Görüs are just two examples.

Gunnar Schupelius a journalist for tabloid BZ comments: “Geisel’s proposal sounds like he wants to use the arsonists to put out the fire.”

To make sure Geisel was not misunderstood BZ reached out to Geisel. His office made it clear that this is indeed a proposal currently being checked by them.

“The dialogue between “Legalist” Muslim communities, who don’t use violence and reject it is helpful and could lead to a deradicalization.”

ISIS fighter would be taken in by Muslims, who oppose the German law and want to create a Caliphate but without the use of violence.

Karsten Woldeit for the Alternative for Germany stated: “Those who aspire for a theocracy, have no place in Germany.”

The Federal Interior Minister Seehofer of Merkel’s sister party the CSU also has a different view on this: “Jihadists may only be brought back if they are wanted here with a warrant.”

Southern Poverty Surpasses Half Billion in Assets; $121 Million Now Offshore

Reports $518 million in total assets despite $21 million fall in donations

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), a far-left nonprofit known for its "hate group" designations, has surpassed a half billion dollars in total assets and now has $121 million parked offshore, according to the group's most recent financial statements.

The SPLC, which is based in Montgomery, Ala., has not publicly posted its most recent financial statements on its website. However, the organization applied for renewal in the state of California days ago and submitted a number of documents pertaining to its financial standing including its most recent audited statement and tax forms for calendar year 2018, which covers Nov. 1, 2017 to Oct. 31, 2018.

According to the filings submitted to California's Office of Attorney General, the group reported total assets of $518 million from November 2017 to the Oct. 31, 2018, an increase of $41 million from the $477 million in total assets it reported on its previous year's tax forms.

The SPLC's assets increased despite its total revenue falling by $15 million last year. The SPLC hauled in $136 million in total revenue throughout 2017. This number fell to $121 million in 2018. Its contributions and grants also fell by more than $20 million from 2017 to 2018, from $132 million to $111 million.

Despite the fall in revenue, the SPLC's vast investment portfolio expanded in 2018, which included a drastic increase in the amount of money it has parked overseas. By the end of 2018, its non-U.S. equity funds rose to $121 million, an uptick of nearly $30 million from the $92 million it had parked in offshore investments throughout 2017.

While little is known about its actual transfers to offshore entities, in 2017 the Washington Free Beacon discovered foreign forms from the group that showed a small fraction of its previous transactions to a number of entities located in the Cayman Islands. Those foreign forms are not required to be publicly disclosed by the SPLC and are the only known forms showing the nature of its transfers to offshore entities. The SPLC also has interests in Bermuda and the British Virgin Islands.

In addition to the $121 million now in non-U.S. equities, the far-left organization reported $91 million in U.S. public equity funds. Its U.S. and non-U.S. equities include publicly traded stocks of domestic and international corporations. The $92 million the group had tied up in U.S. public equity funds last year was $16 million more than it had the year before.

The SPLC also had $60 million in private equity funds, or investments in buyouts, venture capital, and distressed companies while another $24 million was in real asset funds, which include investments in real estate and natural resources such as oil, gas, and commodities, according to its forms.

One new development on its 2018 financial statements is the formation of another entity tied to the organization.

Probably to get it passed, if they put the ones in who have been buying off congress it wont fly. Once passed with these it becomes a slippery slope for the rest.
