>>>The press release said a traffic stop was initiated on a green Chevrolet truck in the 12400 block of County Road 35. The white male driver was contacted and was acting extremely nervous while being questioned by the Sergeant. When he was asked to step out of the vehicle, the suspect sped away north on County Road 35 at which time a pursuit was initiated. After a short distance, the driver crashed into a tree and immediately tried to exit the passenger door of the truck. The Sergeant was quickly able to apprehend the suspect and place him under arrest. The suspect was subsequently identified as Dakota Allen – 26 of Tyler.
>>>Additional Sheriff’s personnel responded to this location to assist. During the course of the investigation a zippered bag was located containing approximately two pounds of crystal methamphetamine, various instruments used for the sale of narcotics and over $7,000 in cash.
