except student loans don't go away, they are not a forgivable debt, pretty sure even in bankruptcy, you have them until you die regardless of whether you pay.
that would be awesome for a lot of people, makes me really sad to see so many young people saddled with huge loans like a mortgage and they don't have jack to show for it.
I'm sorry to hear that anon. Ever tried the Dave Ramsey plan? I didn't have college loan debt, but major business loan debt comparable to medical student loan debt with a total middle class income and his plan was only thing that worked to climb out of it. Not quick and simple, takes a lot of time, effort and sacrifice, but if you have a plan and trust it, you can overcome it.
My spouse anon and I did that shit for years, it's like rowing a boat in opposite directions one at each end. I listened to Dave Ramsey for about 3 months before I got up the courage to put a stop to confront them and say we either work together as team or we're gonna keep heading nowhere fast and once we got together as a team, everything became possible. Don't give up hope also if you're busy enough, there are good answering services out there to get you through like Ruby Receptionists to take your calls when you're on the job (they can email you the messages and you can email clients back).
