Trying to obfuscate the presence of the Boeing Uninterruptable Autopilot?, which apparently has been getting a lot of use lately.

 

I'm not buying the story of having a single electro-mechanical AOA sensor, which can fail, have that much control over the flight system. Airliners have two redundant systems, the space shuttle had three.

 

Design software for complex systems automatically catches failure-path errors like that.
