I listened to this report on NPR this morning

with David Soucie a retired FAA analyst.

He authored the Book Why Planes Crash

They reported he has

17

years as an investigator.

Caught my ears. Tonight when I got home I checked out the bio on his book review and it says he had 35 years with the FAA….

Thats a big discrepency and why did they choose 17 ?
