He got the ][ (freedom gate) so I doubt he would end up in the [] (killbox) He did his job, fulfilled his roll, and was turned out to pasture.
Maybe, methinks, He built the bomber, and gave the pilot the flight plan & target list. And is now off enjoying being a retired grandfather.
