Well, that was interesting. Bread kind of flew for a while, slowed down just before you arrived. Everything excited about new Q. I practiced baked, timing better.

I opened a second tab for the thread. MUCH better; otherwise, it disappears, doesn't it? Not much help prepping in advance if you just have to start over again anyways.

>>5657096 My miss perhaps, anon, I was collecting notables at that time. It is more likely to get noticed, tho, if you add a short description in bold. Just something simple like the ones you see on the notables page. Otherwise, bakers have to read thru everything to determine (a) whether it's notable and (b) how to describe it. The person who posts it knows better what it says than anyone else.

If you liked the short version….

Q has told us "You are the news now." With that is mind, here are some suggestions for both upping the quality of our posts and making notables more visible to bakers.

How to Make Your Posts Easy to Find & Read

Time is short in most breads. In others, bakers are not present and anons must jump in to collect notables, often late in the game. The more work you do to make your posts easy to read, the more likely they are to catch someone's attention.

HIGH QUALITY POSTS HAVE:

  • substantive, relevant content (mostly fresh news on topics of interest)

  • high-quality sauce (links, cites, etc. from acceptable sources)

  • a clearly marked date. If the full date is not in the link, PLZ LOOK IT UP (and if the date is older, say why the info matters now)

  • a one-sentence title anyone can understand that is bolded or in red text) so it's easy to find (see CAP)

  • A note indicating posts that are part of a digg (helps bakers understand why obscure-looking stuff is notable)

  • For tweets: a description of the tweet text in the Comments box if it's got a JPEG extension (or if you're not sure of the extension). JPEGS are invisible after the current bread, so wo/text, a JPEG image offers no info. (Ditto for jpeg photos).

  • For articles: ideally, include a title, date, 2-3 paragraphs plus a CAP & a link; try to provide as much as you can.

  • For videos: the link, date, length of video & time marker for highlighted content. To embed, right-click video, copypasta video URL into Embed field in 8-chan (click on "Show posts…" on bottom right of New Reply to reveal).

  • For graphics/pics: at least one sentence describing the graphic(s}. (Contrary to popular opinion, graphics used in diggs do not "speak for themselves.")

  • For anon theories: Make your material easy to follow and use sauce to support claims when possible.

  • Newfags: To enhance readability, learn to use bold, italics, and red text (see CAP)

  • __Busyfags who just arrived:Please check the Archive before posting: https://qresear.ch/

  • Phone-fags, At-work fags: Just post whatever you can however you can, WRWY.

I remember wondering how to do that, too, anon. They used to have a link for formatting somewhere up top but I don't think it's there anymore, things move around.

red text

is a trip.

Understanding what you're saying. But rhetoric (and false rhetoric) has been around for a long time, just now hyped up with high tech. Hypnotic people have held the masses in their sway since….hmmm….the beginning of humankind?

Good that it's all coming out now, so people see what's going on. Takes time to wake up, but it's slowly happening. Glad we are here to witness it and participate, too. Blessings to you friend and all the anons.

Yes, stupid Amazon. They have no business doing this. But I guess this craziness is going to run its course until its time is past. Then people will, say, "Gosh, why was everything so crazy back then?" It's about time we broke out of that cycle.

Have a grudge because of what they do to authors–and their books. Substandard printing practices (and then they lie about it). DO NOT let them print your book!

Don't know whether it's better but it suits me, always a night owl…and here, it's so much quieter (at least when Q isn't posting just before, kek). About time to turn in, tho.
