I lived in STL in the 80's
Knew STL cops personally. They were pretty cool. Had their hands full with North STL creeps. Lots of Rudy's as they called them.
STL County Sheriff was no one to mess with either.
I actually hung out at Blueberry Hill in U City for the pinball games and the occasional blues.
And when I just departed STL the Bottle Rockets showed up from South County
Big Fun on Coco!
Went to Seton Hall with Max in attendence.
Actually our section of the New Men's Dorm was the place to be. He didn't live in the dorm but he was there a lot in 1970-71.
Never asked him what he was studying. There was a guitarist thing going on there in my suitemate's room. I learned a ton about guitar there from some people that actually got pretty far, but not as far as Max.
One guy, Dick Orleans was an immensely talented guitarist. He just died in Colorado from something. Wasn't 70 yet. Gene Boscia was there too. Later with Southside Johnny. Great bassist.
I went into orbital science work from 76 on. Still there.
