Manslaughter comes to mind as a crime that is mainly an accidental death. The Intent comes from some action that is usually negligence. There is always an Intent proof for murder be it jealousy in a lovers quarrel or breakup or having alcohol in ones system when driving.

Even a "random picked" victim of murder is a situation where the killer had Intent to murder and then murdered.

Look, I am not trying to argue this, but it is important to understand that the legal use of Intent is not the common use of the term and applies to all investigations, as a magistrate must see Intent to forward charges for a crime.

Can confirm. It is all about the commerce clause and current statutes. What is holding up the issue is the Federal statutes still show MJ as a controlled substance. States that legalize are not immune from Federal agents coming and arresting people.

On Comey, yes. Recall his draft statement did have wording that would damn HRC. It was toned down to cloud the issue by removing legal words and terms that would trigger a prosecution. In doing so, he negated the Intent, making the crime not proven. It was a lie as you point out.

Motive is part of Intent. Guilty Mind, in your case (motive) is just a thought. It is not Intent. Someone else robs the bank and the investigator will look at anyone with motive, or guilty mind.

Just thinking about how to do a crime is not a crime itself.

When Intent to commit charges are applied, it is on the back of things like a suspect having some other actual proven crime. These are not all bad on all cases. When it is a stand alone charge it is definitely bad law.

You get no argument from me on provability of going out and committing intent. Standalone intent charges are indeed bad law. Those are supposed to be add on charges, such as when a suspect is arrested with a quantity of a controlled substance large enough that it could not be for just personal use. That triggers Intent to Distribute a controlled substance. That is okay by me. Where that does get muddy is defining what is a personal use amount and what is a distribution amount. These are codified, but arguably one could have 5 pounds of marijuana for personal from stocking up.

If I were a defense lawyerfag, I would try to show my client was only stocking up to negate the intent to distribute.

wise anon. You get it. The reason being, if one is attacked, and one defends themself with equal or less force, it is not with Intent.

Self defense is usually not a crime. Some localities make is illegal though.

kys. Congress has to change the laws on immigration. DoJ and HSD can only do what the law says they can do. Placing blame on Trump for this tells me you are either a shill or a low information consumer.

Trump has a great layout of what he wants from Congress, but they will not act on it.
