The Lehigh Valley Wine Gala has named Agustin Huneeus Jr. as the 2012 Honorary Chair. The gala features world renowned winemakers, such as John Shafer from Napa, Gianluca Grasso from Italy and Veronique Drouhin from France.

The Huneeus family owns vineyards in the U.S., Argentina and Chile. In Argentina, the family operates Cruz Ardina Winery in Mendoza. In Chile, Agustin produces Neyen, Primus and Ritual in Apalta Valley. In the U.S., the family produces Quintessa, Flowers, Saldo, Prisoner, Illumination and Faust. Their properties are located in Napa and Sonoma.

The gala has raised over $600,000 for the Children's Home of Easton and Northampton County Historical and Genealogical Society. "Our goal is to help children overcome abuse and neglect," stated Gregg Dowty, Executive Director of Children's Home. "We depend on the proceeds to support their residential, educational and developmental needs." In addition, the Historical Society uses the proceeds to fund field trips and educational programs for over 2,000 school children.
