Murkowski is no different than the vast majority of Rep and Dem politicians. Newbies typically arrive in DC with good intentions. It doesn't take very long before they're neutered.
Newbies discover very quickly how little impact each politician has on the system in place. The ones with the most time in office have waaaaaaaaay more power than the rest. Shouldn't be that way but it is. Oppo researchers try to dig up dirt or make up lies to control them.
My guess is the majority in DC are puppets of one or more foreign powers or international crime families. We've already seen almost all of the House genuflect to Israel. That's not the only one pulling their strings. What everyone is missing is Murkowski is not much more spineless than the rest serving.
