DOD WANTS 17 PERCENT INCREASE FOR SPACE ACTIVITIES IN FY2020.

Air Force Deputy Assistant Secretary for Budget Maj. Gen. John M. Pletcher said at a Pentagon budget briefing this afternoon that the request is 17 percent above FY2019 funding. The $72.4 million for the U.S. Space Force (USSF) is to stand up a “provisional” headquarters that will be responsible for “addressing scope of mission and function, organizational components, and planning considerations to implement the new service.”

30th Space Wing Safety Office protects Vandenberg AFB.

 

The 30th Space Wing accomplishes its mission of enabling SPACE SUPERIORITY, in part by managing Department of Defense space and missile testing, providing commercial launch opportunities, and placing satellites into polar orbit from the West Coast.

Vandenberg’s 30th SW Safety Office must ensure the safety of not only base personnel, but the local community in order to provide efficient spaceport and range capabilities for the nation.

“In order for the wing commander to conduct the mission here, he has to have confidence that the safety team is doing their job to protect the base and the community,” said Col. Michael Wulfestieg, 30th SW Safety Office chief of safety.

Any launch from Vandenberg requires high involvement from the launch safety team, which includes the fire department, security forces and members from the 30th SW Safety Office.

“Wing staff safety offices manage the safety program for the wing commander of the base and focuses on industrial safety, explosive safety if they have weapons, and flight safety if they have aircraft,” said William Stark, 30th SW Safety Office chief of pad and missile safety. “We have all those safety aspects, but we also have a large staff of people that deal with all the aspects of launch risks. That entails overseeing our launch partners and making sure that they do their job in a way that doesn’t affect the safety of the public.”

 

Bet there is some pretty good shit going on there these days, now that Space Force is getting into full swing?

Denmark to make foreign mosque funding illegal.

 

new law proposal from the Danish government and the right-wing Danish People’s Party would make it illegal for foreign governments and authorities to give money to religious communities and institutions in Denmark.

The law will be implemented if the donations are assessed to pose a security threat and undermine Denmark’s fundamental freedoms and democracy. The ban will cover loans, gifts, donation of equipment, financial aid to staff and even hiring premises.

Extensive support to mosques from countries such as Qatar and Turkey is said to be one of the primary reasons for the ban.

Hungarian Government: “Europeans have a right to know about EU’s secret plan to make the UN Migration Compact mandatory”

 

A recent document by the legal service of the European Commission has “revealed the greatest lie by Brussels”, according to Hungary’s Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó.

He claims that the document suggests “secret efforts to make the UN Migration Compact mandatory” in all EU member states.

Speaking at a press conference, Szijjártó said that the Hungarian government “calls on the European Commission to stop making secret plans to make the UN compact mandatory and publish all relevant documents completed so far”.
