I don't see why I should get my panties in a bunch over this. One could a well say that it is better, since they are not Boeing, and thus don't have a reason to sweep things under the rug.
You might not know this, but aviation is a serious business w/ both Airbus & Boeing, with serious & honest people working there. Boeing as the manufacturer will 100% get the chance to see their own data and some of it they may even have via telemetry already.
If something is wrong with the system in the 737 MAX then it will be found out.
