Currently vessel is refused bunkerage in Korea as she is blcklisted by US as having traded w/ NK, Crew is in hotel, vessel is cold iron, no engines, no generators. The "explosion" bit seems a bit odd, bent IN metal?

Russian cargo ship explosion mystery - blast hit from outside, not from inside
UPDATE: It is not all that simple as it looks, with Russian freighter PARTIZAN Feb 25 explosion and fire. There are two facts which make accident a mystery:
-
There was nothing in and around ship’s f’castle, no materials or goods, which could explode. No explosives in any form.
-
Ship’s plating around two holes punctured in hull by explosion, is dented inside, not outside.
So what it was? Managing company is at a loss together with ship’s crew, they assumed it could be a shell, or a missile, or even meteorite. Russian Academy of Science already commented on meteorite version, turning it down as implausible.
Investigators are to probe into accident on ship’s arrival to Pohang, Korea.
General cargo ship PARTIZAN suffered explosion in forecastle area, followed by fire, on Feb 25, while en route from Nakhodka Russia to Pohang, Korea, with cargo of scrap, in Japan sea. Explosion left two holes in hull, well above waterline. Fire was extinguished by the crew. The ship is under way, no assistance required, according to owner statement. No information yet as to the cause of an accident, investigation will be carried out in Korea, said the owner. Crew is safe.
