Yes. It's happening. It has been happening for almost a decade now. Time travel is possible using a variant of quantum teleportation. Here is a real physics experiment that was published in a real physics journal: https://arxiv.org/abs/1005.2219

Caveat: Seth Lloyd's device, and the quantum computer, can only send quantum states back in time for a very small number of particles.

Now, the most interesting application of time travel is Quantum Reality Control. Prof. Lloyd talks about it in his paper. The idea is to attempt to force a time paradox unless you get a desired outcome from some uncertain event which you would otherwise have no control over. It's kind of the microscopic version of "I'm going to kill my own grandfather unless Q and Trump give us a GIANT HAPPENING today".

The forcing has to be done within the time loop. In Prof. Lloyd's case, this would involve installing laser retro-reflectors on Pluto. I'm not saying this has been done. I'm saying it so that Trump time travel conspiracy theorists don't get too excited about these time machines.

Now if there was a secret military project like Project Looking Glass that somehow got a clear vision of the future, even something irrelevant like a tree, they would be able to shift entire timelines simply by resolving to cut down the tree if they don't get their Happenings!
