Hello, baker, baker assist here. (Ah, I see it's those sparklies again, wakes me up).

Anons were digging like crazy tonight, so many ideas. It's really great….but seems like every time I got on the board to catch up on reading notables today, it was a ghost bake (even in mid-day). Ditto tonight. Fun but you have to play catchup; At least at night it's possible. Day shift is another matter….

I passed on this for notable (baker assist pb here), just realized what you were getting at. If baker is tired or behind, it can be hard to figure out the obvious. A few words really helps.

I may have missed something, but it looks like the baker who signed off had been on duty for hours and hours. I've thought about the problem of not having a handoff, but unless Q is posting, I would just go if I was really wasted. I trust the universe to work something out, some way. I have encouraged bakers to do the same, no use is getting burned out.

I'm learning to bake for the same reason as you, although baking is not my forte, too fast and too much time pressure. Prefer digging but like taking responsibility. Even without baking, knowing about baking is helpful; I notice problems in the dough, etc., that I wasn't aware of previously.
