They're over there talking about hybridization with aliens or by aliens or whatnot. Maybe. For me, I am reminded of Ray Kurzweil's Homo Evolutus idea as humanity splinters between normal humans and those that begin to take control of their own evolution through choice of integration with technologies, etc. Personal preferences would lead to total disintegration and preference for each of our own idealized virtual realities, IMHO.
