This sounds a bit more plausible, that Weissman was creating excessive and frivolous indictments in the hope that POTUS would be forced to appoint an AG the Dems approved of and would pass those indictments along.
There is more to it, though. The insurance statement resonates with the Lisa Page texts and others. Insurance is taken out ahead of time. You don't create an insurance policy after the tornado. You do it before. That means that what Lisa Page and others did with regard to "insurance" and "Russia" was planned well in advance.
A frivolous indictment of Trump's family would be troublesome to deal with, but not exactly something that would make him unable to act in and of itself.
