"Court papers say Caplan was repeatedly caught on wiretaps plotting with William “Rick” Singer, who has admitted masterminding the scam in which an accomplice allegedly corrected wrong answers after the girl turned in her test.
During one conversation, Caplan allegedly said that paying for the crooked service was “not an issue.”
“It’s just, to be honest, I’m not worried about the moral issue here. I’m worried about the, if she’s caught doing that, you know, she’s finished,” he said, according to court papers.
Caplan also allegedly told Singer: “I mean, this comes out— I— I don’t even want to know what you guys do.”
