Fully agree. Big companies go to a great deal of trouble and expense to maintain a "high availability" environment. Changes are planned months or years in advance and rolled out into production only after careful and thoughtful planning and testing. ANYTIME there's an interruption like the one FB had, you can be SURE it is unplanned and unforeseen.
