I agree - every song needs to resolve and yes millions of songs out there use the cadence. But aren’t we really just taking about the cycle of FOUR? The cycle encoded into the trip is really just generic in my mind. First of all its in the key of C - thats a good key to explain theory - its simple, no flats no sharp - it gets the idea across. If it was coded in the key of F# I might think the key itself was important. In Q’s trip, its easier to assume the song is the key.
