Public likes transparency. Dems call for secrecy, Reps join, take a lot of heat, bow to the will of the people.
Info comes out that makes Dems look like the RATS they are.
No one remembers anything but 1) Reps did the right thing, and 2) Dems tried to hide their own malfeasance.
