Hackers was a movie based on a group of misfit teens who were hackers who dared each other to hack something big. One in the group hacks into a software company and steals a garbage file. A garbage file is a part of a file left behind when other files deleted. The software company was writing software to the ballast of oil tankers to keep them from capsizing.
