Christ does not intercede. He is one of the three persons of God. Mary at the wedding feast in Caana instructed the stewards to , “do whatever He tells you,” hence we see the basis of Marian intercession. Mary is Queen of Heaven, the new ark of the covenant (she carried Jesus inside her) and Queen of all Saints. She alone participated fully in Her son’s passion, and save for her son is the only human conceived without sin. Mary is the new Eve and our spiritual mother. She always points back to her Son as the sole source of all sanctifying grace.
