Is it a fact that this was redacted?
Yes, the image does have a rough edit in it which obscures an area on the sidewalk near the street edge. The rough edit appears to have been made by a coarse "pen tip" in a paint program. It is pixelated.
Would Q leave such an obvious mark on the image without expecting Anons to ask what was redacted?

Based on available imagery via Google Earth, the corner sidewalk in question has not changed greatly since April 2018. There is the addition of the low bulbous white bollards since April 2018. The redacted area stands out from the pattern of the sidewalk surface and would be easy to miss, but I looked for indications of changes in the street scene landmarks in an effort to date the Q image. On that score, can only say that it post-dates the Google Earth image of April 2018 and that the Q image seems to match that of a tripadvisory posting which is dated Feb 2019.
I think the working assumption is that the Q images were made around Valentine's Day, 14 FEB 2019, due to the Q reference to "RT", real time. It the series of Q images that were posted day were made and posted in real time, then, that would account for the very roughly made redaction. Not enough time to finesse.
