ALTON, N.H. — An 11-year-old has been charged with second-degree murder and a woman is dead following a shooting Friday morning in an Alton, N.H., home, authorities said.
About 7:30 a.m. Friday, police received a 911 call for a shooting on Dobbins Way. Lizette Eckert, 50, suffered a gunshot wound and was found dead at the home. An autopsy is tentatively scheduled for today, authorities said.
James Eckert, 48, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital. He was said to be in critical condition Friday night.
