Over 10 years ago I was told by a food scientist I knew in Japan to never eat anything grown/produced in china. She worked for one of Japan’s largest mega processed/instant food companies and her job was to test Chinese produce. Told me it was horrific what they were finding in terms of chemicals/fertilisers/pollution/poor practice etc. Do yourself and your families a favor and avoid that shit.
