Using Nat Sec for Wall is strategic —I believe DJT is trying to bait Congress into making changes to existing Law so that it cannot be abused by future Presidents.

Watch Ron Portman on Morning with Maria. He stated that the existing law needs to be changed for that exact reason.

It’s brilliant- get the Ds and the public outraged at the use of Nat Sec law so when R Senate tries to reign that power in by modifying the law, they have a hard time not supporting it.
