I had a run in with the Tavistock's quality control program back in the early 70's. I was fresh out of the Corps with a medical discharge and was doing some experimental biofeedback for chronic pain at a gov't related facility. (Read the book New Mind, New Body by Barbara Brown for more info) Also involved was some hypnosis that I was a little unsure about after reading the book, Ethical Hypnosis (now scrubbed out of existence) and having some lie detector training.
I had started a good job and apparently fit a targeted demographic. I received an invitation via mail and a phone call inviting me to a theatre to screen some short pilots and advertisements. The carrot was a gift certificate for a meal for two at a restaurant of your choice. As it was in a choice part of town on Sunset Blvd it sounded like an interesting low cost night out. The only thing they wanted in return was to fill out a short questionnaire at the conclusion. I attended and it was just as advertised. A few months went by and I was again invited and it went on exactly as before. The third time I was invited as a VIP! No more filling out the questionnaire, we were seated early in the front rows and an attendant was very helpful putting wired finger cups on one hand. We were told this was to automate our responses to what we were viewing.
When I questioned what use was being made of the data, and by whom, I was told it was totally randomized and then discarded after analysis. I didn't want to blow it for my date, so I went along with it. I did return, uninvited, and learned a lot more. Suffice to say it was not random, nor discarded. This was before the internet so correspondence was snail mail. Theirs was with the Brookings Institute, Stanford, some foundations. The amount of information they gathered on a person's subconscious biometric responses to the media we were exposed to is mind boggling. They know more about us than we do about ourselves. We have been played like a cheap fiddle for generations.
They're still there, after having gone thru some changes (I believe) in name only.

These boards are the first large scale breakout and consciousness of the depth of this conspiracy.
It truly is a "great awakening". This shit has taken decades to promulgate, and it's going to take a long time to dismantle.
