Tarrant went to Istanbul Turkey in 2016 in march. He stayed 3 days. The same day he arrived the German consulate, embassy and German school in istanbul was closed due to a ‘very specific and concrete tipoff’ of a terrorist threat. 2 days after that warning, on mar 19 2016 3 Israelis killed and another 11 hurt by suicide bombing in Istanbul. Total 5 people killed and 36 injured. Attack was carried out by 1 person and was considered a hate crime toward israel. The next morning Tarrant departs via Istabul airport.
Next time he visited Turkey he stayed for 43 days.
At the same day of the shooting in AZ, there was an announcement in Turkey warning Jews to leave Turkey, this was by Michael Rubin of American Enterprise Institute on Mar 15, 2019, however there was no announcement of any alert in Turkey.
