That earring reminded me - there was a very famous temple of a sect of the Golden Dawn (Stella Matutina="morning star") called Whare Ra ("House of the Sun") in Havelock North, New Zealand.

Not afflilated with Crowley, but still heavy on the occultic symbolism. Active through the late 70s, supposedly no longer, but suspect it may have gone underground.
