It is indeed a spiritual war.
I've been equally enraged and inspired since the beginning. That said, I personally carried a heavy burden for a number of years. It involves being beaten down, loosing faith and courage, and a certain pattern of self-boycott.
While my stumbles are clearly not anything like the things supposedly being done by the cabal, much less in the same spirit at all, I felt impeded to put on the breastplate of righteousness without taking the splinter out of my own eye. That ended yesterday. There is no open invitation for evil hold me hostage today. While I have a big dose of uncertainty in my life now, I'm stronger today than yesterday, ready to take on slings and arrows and to "take [a] stand against the devil’s schemes."
