Certain strobe frequencies can cause disorientation in subjects exposed to them. Some flashlights now have this feature. This was such a flashlight/strobe. The flashlight/strobe detached and fell to the floor during the incident, indicating extremely poor attention to detail, lack of skill, and/or lack of commitment. I'm not saying this individual was righteous in this endeavor, only that in when partaking of an endeavor, lack of attention to such details indicates lack of seriousness.

Could be. If i configured a weapon, whether an AR-15 with strobe light, or an axe head attached to a wooden handle, and the flashlight fell off or the axe head flew off, I'd consider that effort to be a fail. With the modular capabilities of the modern AR-15, such a "fail" is inexcusable.
